Hakob Avchyan is an Armenian linguist and associate professor specializing in Iranian philology, Iranian dialectology, general linguistics, comparative linguistics, and Talyshi studies at Yerevan State University (YSU). Born in 1989, he has conducted extensive research on the Talyshi language and its dialects, with several research projects at institutions such as Hamburg University and the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
