Nizami Dum ka Murg
INGREDIENTS
1 kg chicken
1 tbsp of ginger paste
1 tbsp of garlic paste
1.5 cups of yogurt
10 green chillies slit
3 sliced medium sized onions fried
2 tbsp of lemon juice
1.5 tsp of turmeric powder
2 tsp of cumin seed powder
1.5 tbsp of coriander seed powder
2 tbsp of red chilli powder
1 tsp of garam masala powder
2 tsp of pepper powder
5 cloves
1” cinnamon
5 green cardamoms
1/2 cup of soaked and peeled almonds
1/2 cup of cashew nuts
1/2 cup of milk
Salt to taste
1 cup of oil
1/2 cup of freshly chopped coriander
5-6 green chillies chopped
1 tsp of sauf powder
1 tsp of amchur powder
1/2 cup of freshly chopped coriander
1/2 kg of potatoes boiled and chopped
METHOD
1 kg chicken
Add it to a cooking pit
Add 1 tbsp of ginger paste
1 tbsp of garlic paste
Add 1.5 cups of yogurt
Add 10 green chillies slit
Take 3 sliced medium sized onions fried
Crush it and add to the chicken
Squeeze 2 tbsp of lemon juice
Add 3/4 tsp of turmeric powder
1 tsp of cumin seed powder
1 tbsp of coriander seed powder
Add 2 tbsp of red chilli powder
1 tsp of garam masala powder
1 tsp of pepper powder
Add whole spices
Take 5 cloves
1” cinnamon
5 green cardamoms (open the cardamom before adding)
Take 1/2 cup of soaked and peeled almonds
Add 1/2 cup of cashew nuts
Grind the nuts into a fine paste
Add 1/2 cup of milk to it and mix well
Add it to the chicken
Add salt to taste
Add 1/2 cup of oil
Add 1/2 cup of freshly chopped coriander
Marinate it well using your hands
Cover it and cook it on a medium to low flame
After 30 minutes, open the lid and mix it well
For Aloo Jeera Recipe
Take 1/2 cup of oil & heat it
Shut the flame
Splutter 1 tsp of cumin seeds
Add 5-6 green chillies chopped
Add 1 tsp of sauf powder
1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
1 tsp of coriander seed powder
1 tsp of amchur powder
1 tsp of pepper powder
1/2 cup of freshly chopped coriander
Add salt to taste
Add 1/2 kg of potatoes boiled and chopped
Mix it well
Cook it on a medium to low flame for 3-5 minutes
Serve both the dishes with Rice or Bread of your choice
