In this SHLOG, I wake up already parked in a Cannes McDonald’s lot — and I don’t let myself leave until I catch up on work. Cannes might be one of the Riviera’s prettiest cities, but for me it’s discipline over daydreaming.

Midway through my “serious” planning, I unravel a little on camera. I rant about how much of a cheat code the Canadian flag has been on my car — saving me from the extra heat I’d face as an Arab driving through Europe. Between pasta-box grocery runs, PB&J sandwiches, and spotting police chain-smoking while military police do the real work, I double down on the truth: speed matters more than perfection.
