Brussels is the capital city of Belgium. It's one of the most important cities for transportation. Tons of train routes go to Brussels South station like London-Brussels, Amsterdam-Paris, Brussels-Frankfurt, Brussels-Vienna.... There are also metros, but only four lines go here, but those do go to different places of Brussels.
Metro lines:
Line 1: Stockel - West Station
Line 2: Simonis - Elisabeth
Line 5: Erasmus - Hermann-Debroux
Line 6: Roi Baudouin - Elisabeth
On lines 1 and 5 run the newer models like the m6 and m7.
On line 2 and 6 the older models run like the m1 and m5.
On December 16 2022 there was a strike in Brussels. The impact on the Brussels metro was big. Only metro line 1 was operating that day, but it did get extended to Erasmus.
Metro lines during the strike:
Line 1: Stockel - Erasmus (Via Central Station).
De Brouckère is right in the city centre of Brussels. Metro lines 1 and 5, tram lines 3 and 4 and busses stop at this station/stop.
