Hey everyone!!!!
In this video I show you three, pretty easy..... and inexpensive.... ways that I transfer Laser Jet pictures onto wood.
So just a forewarning..... practice these methods a few times on scrap wood before trying to create a masterpiece. lol. I can not begin to tell you how many times I mess this process up, and have to start from scratch. Give it a few tries. Hey! It beats shelling out the money for a machine if you only do it once and a while ☺
If your going to transfer anything with writing/words, make sure you flip the image around(words reading backwards). That way when the ink transfer over..... It'll look right.
I generally use the wood burning method... just for the shear fact that it is super quick. But your limited to black ink and small prints/pictures
With Gel medium, and Polycrylic(polyurethane), You can transfer photos with color.... the brighter the colors the better the transfer will look. But, in my experience..... you have a 24 hour drying time.
Materials used in this video:
-LaserJet printed picture...... yes, the methods in this video only pertain to laser jet ink.
-Wood burner with flat tip
Liquitex Professional - Gel Medium
Minwax - water based - Polycrylic(polyurethane)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Big things coming within the next few weeks.... interesting builds and another product unboxing/review/use video. I don't want to give to much away..... but I'm pretty excited. We're going to be stepping out of the shop and into the woods..... That's all I can say for now :)
As always..... Thank you for watching! Have a great weekend, and if you don't know already....... get in the shop and get creative.
If you liked the video, give it a thumbs up. Don't forget to subscribe, and share my videos....... I'm trying to put out a new video every Friday, but with upcoming projects.... my frequency of posts will most likely decline. There just isn't enough time in the day to do a weekly project..... while trying to batch out items, and build for customers. But, I'm going to do the best I can without sacrificing quality.
