One of the hippest titles Seattle bandleader Vic Meyers recorded was this mellow stomping rendition of the evergreen “Nobody’s Sweetheart.” Though a far cry from the sparkling drive of the mid 20s band, his late 20s recordings have a beautiful, big, and brilliant sound, aided here by the presence of both string bass and brass bass a’la Paul Whiteman. Also much like Whiteman is the trombone duet. Note the fabulous PNW style string bass behind the vocals.
