As the world marks 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, United Nations Women South Africa is issuing an urgent call to action against the fastest-growing form of abuse - digital violence against women and girls.
UN Women says 95% of online aggressive behaviour and abusive language is directed at women and girls.
It says urgent action needed as government launches the 2025 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Campaign today.
