Описание: The rain didn't let up all day, but neither did the dedication at Wadebridge Town, where the groundsmen worked tirelessly to get this match on — and they pulled it off! This was the final stop of an action-packed Good Friday ground hop in Cornwall, and Bodieve Park delivered drama right until the end.

Before kick-off, I caught up with Chairman Steve, who’s done just about everything at the club — including playing! His love for the club and community was clear in every word.

On the pitch, Wadebridge started the better side, creating chances but just couldn’t find the finish. The rain continued to pour, turning the surface into a slippery, muddy battleground. As the first half wore on, Camelford grew in confidence, but we went into half time at 0-0.

With the penalty box in front of us turning into a full-on mud bath, even the keepers were thinking twice about diving! As full-time approached, the nerves kicked in — hoppers around the ground bracing themselves for a 0-0.

Then, out of nowhere, Camelford struck first — a ball whipped in from the right met by a free man at the back post, and it was 0-1 with just over 10 minutes to go. But the drama wasn’t done — Wadebridge hit back almost instantly, a low ball across the box met by a sliding finish to equalise!

🎥 It finished 1-1 in the mud, the final act of a memorable day of Cornish football. Hopefully Bodieve Park recovers quickly… it’s seen a war today!
