The incident occurred last Thursday when Mr. Singh, a legislator from Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi, was seated separately from his wife and son. Upon refusal, men allegedly linked to Mr. Singh boarded the train at Jhansi station and attacked the passenger. A viral video shows the men punching the victim and using slippers to assault him.
