What to expect after you get that full approval from your lender:
1. Mortgage instructions get set to your lawyer’s office and they prepare the mortgage documents for you to sign in person (0:23)
2. Bring in a certified cheque for the remaining down payment, lawyer fees, property taxes etc. You will get a statement of adjustments from your lawyer breaking this down for you (0:31)
3. Provide proof of home insurance to you lawyers (0:50)
4. Arrange for utilities, internet and redirect any mail. (0:58)
5. Possession Date! Funds are requested from your lender on this day by your lawyer. This may take a little while so it’s important not to schedule movers too early or expect to get the keys first thing in the morning. (1:09)
6. Get the keys! Your realtor will arrange to get the keys to you for your new home. (1:28)
