She juggles 17 distinct personalities of her own. The film explores the intricacies of DID and its treatment as Karen helps her patient, Marshay Smith, a talented Black-Latina musician, confront past trauma and embrace her six distinct personalities. The film will cause audiences to question their own personality - is it a function of our brain, a social mask, or an illusion?
