Global Catholic Community Mourns the Passing of Pope Francis | EWTN News Nightly

From memorial services in Taipei and Bethlehem to prayer outside the Apostolic Nunciature in Indonesia, Catholics are uniting in grief and remembrance. Tributes are also pouring in from Argentina and Brazil, where landmarks have been illuminated and thousands have gathered to pray. In a somber gesture, the Eiffel Tower in Paris switched off its lights in mourning. Meanwhile, in Italy, thousands of pilgrims gathered in St. Peter’s Basilica, united in prayer as Italians flew their flags at half-mast. As world leaders continue to share condolences, the global Catholic community continues to lift prayers for the Holy Father’s soul. EWTN News contributor Julia Convery has more.
