Kalei Gamiao is one of the rising stars in the ukulele world today. His musical journey began at the at the age of 13 when Kalei suffered a sport injury to his left arm. Unable to play sports for an entire year, Kalei soon began to search for something to keep him busy while he recovered. After a few months of searching, Kalei's parents saw an ad in the local newspaper for ukulele lessons. Kalei decided to give it a try and has been passionate about the ukulele eversince he strummed his first chord. In 2008 Kalei's dream of releasing a Cd became a reality. From musical styles ranging from jazz, rock, pop, classical, blues, flamenco, and funk, Kalei showcases his passion for music through this simple four-stringed instrument. Since his debut album, Kalei has toured the United States, Japan, Thailand, and has also opened up for world famous entertainer Bill Cosby. In Kalei, you will experience the passion that radiates within this young man. "I believe that music brings people together dispite their differences.
