Shihezi University

Shihezi University was established in the year 1996 under the supervision of the Chinese Ministry of Education and with the merger of four organizations Shihezi Agricultural College, Shihezi Medical College, the Corps and the Corps economic College Teachers College. It is one of the key universities which is developing under the national” 211 Project”.  The motto of the university is to provide student-centred education with an objective to deliver the best quality education to the students. The university is located in Shihezi (the garden city) on the northern part of Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang. It is also renowned as Double First-Class Discipline University having Double First-Class status in various disciplines.

Currently more than 2,353 postgraduates,   31,716undergraduate students, 245 international students enrolled in the University.

University Campus covers a land area over 1.82 million square meters with a building area of 1.17 million square meters.

2550 professionals and technical faculty have given their service to the university including the university hospitals. In which there are almost 1665 full-time teachers, professors, associate professors.

The university library has a collection of more than 2 lac foreign books and periodical.
