I’ve recently been seeing lots of people hailing Moderna’s development of an mRNA vaccine for SARS-CoV-2 as an incredibly fast accomplishment. But the company has been around for 10 years and this will be their first commercial product. So I decided to dig into the history of the company to try and understand what allowed them to break the record for the fastest vaccine ever developed.
