Nylon coated hollow point "Nyclad's" vs.Lead Cast 38 Specials. These self defense rounds performed well but were pulled from the market. Some say they were discontinued because the nylon coating prevented accurate engraving by the rifling causing complaints from forensic people while others say it was simple lack of sales.
Nyclads at one point were supposedly brought back to market in some calibers but were still widely unavailable.
Nyclads are sometimes confused with Teflon bullets dubbed 'cop killer', or Lubalox coated Black Talon's.

In this video I use a Ruger SP101 revolver.
Federal Premium Nyclad's were available in popular handgun calibers.
As per Federal's website: Federal Premium handgun loads are the best around. Proven NyClad® bullets feature a lead core hollow-point with Nylon coating. Offers great stopping power and penetration--ideal qualities for a personal defense round.
