This is a difficult video to share, and something we never thought we would be faced with. When I decided to document our pregnancy journey, my goal was to just be open, honest and real.

Although I never expected we would be told that our baby might have a heart defect, unfortunately, this is our current reality. I can't pretend like everything is butterflies and rainbows over here. We've kept this to ourselves for a while now, and I've found that since I opened up and shared my feelings with family and friends it's helped me feel a bit better and less alone. Hopefully by sharing our experience, I can help someone else feel less alone.

Right now, we're trying to take it day by day and stay positive and hopeful. I'm also trying to stay off of google. I recently reached out to my doctor about my current mental health, which felt like a good first step in coping. When I feel ready, I want to share a video on prenatal depression and mental health because I had no idea how common these feelings could be.

We know that overall, the baby looks great and is developing and growing normally which is a blessing. The doctors don't believe that this CHD would be fatal to our baby, and they should go on to live a happy healthy life just like my hubby has!

I'm sharing this in hopes to help anyone else going through something similar so that you know you're not alone. ❤
