FD RX7 Dash Bezel Tab Repair and Gauge Cluster LED Lights

Описание: Picking up where we left off in the last video, I make the final repairs to the radio bezel. This includes repairing the broken tabs using my hot stapler (link below). It is a very handy tool to have and I find all sorts of uses for it. After the tabs are fixed, I need to fill in some of the scratches and pitting with 2 part epoxy. While I let the epoxy dry, I install new LED lights in my gauge cluster. I discuss the bulb types and colors as well as some tricks to consider during the install. Since I recorded this video, I have done some testing and found that some of the LEDs remained dimly lit at all times the ignition was in the on position. I decided to swap those with standard E74 bulbs.

The OE bulb size is E74 which has a slightly thinner base. 74 will work, but will have to be forced to fit the sockets.

Toshiba v2 Socket: The source I purchased mine from no longer has them available, but just search for “Toshiba V2 Socket” in the color you need which I believe corresponds to the voltage.
