"Regarding the beating, while they (the Rapid Support Forces) were passing by, one of them started hitting me, and when I got up to run away from him, he grabbed me and punched me in the face. Some of my teeth were knocked out and it was very hard me for me even to drink water."

"The security situation in el-Fasher, was partly maintained by the armed forces and also by the popular resistance, comprised of residents of the neighbourhoods who were forced to take up arms to protect themselves. We maintained this security situation, with each neighbourhood being guarded in shifts throughout the day to repel attacks by the Rapid Support Forces."
