Late December in Kashmir feels like stepping into a winter postcard. In this vlog, we travel by road from Pahalgam to Chandanwari, where the landscape slowly transforms into a snowy wonderland. While the road itself has little snow, the surrounding mountains stay beautifully snow-capped the entire way, with winter trees lining the route.
Once we reach Chandanwari, everything changes. Snow piles up along the sides of the road, some areas are slippery, and the icy beauty becomes impossible to ignore. The Lidder River flows through the valley, adding a peaceful sound to the stunning scenery.
Later, we explore Betaab Valley, where the open valley, snowy patches, tall pine trees, and mountains create one of the most beautiful winter landscapes in Kashmir.
For us, seeing so much snow is a rare moment. Naturally, we end up playing in the snow like children, laughing, throwing snowballs, and just enjoying a moment that feels magical.
