“Do you know what backbiting is?” They said, “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He said, “It is to mention about your brother that which he dislikes.” It was said, “What if what I say about my brother is true?” He said, “If what you say about him is true, you have backbitten him; and if it is not true, then you have slandered him.” (Sahih Muslim)

In Islam, a believer’s honor is sacred. One word can destroy a life. One rumor can break a heart. And one accusation without proof can become a sin that follows us to the Day of Judgment.
