Today on Manic Energy, we’re digging into the invisible system behind every flick of a switch—and the people who keep it reliable when the weather doesn’t cooperate and demand keeps rising.

We’re joined by Frank Frederickson, Vice President of Customer Experience and Engineering Services at Minnesota Power. Frank’s a lifelong Minnesotan (International Falls roots), trained as a mechanical engineer at the University of Minnesota, started his career at 3M, and for the last 18 years has worked across renewable development, plant operations, engineering, and customer experience—serving ~150,000 customers across northern Minnesota.

And yes—he’s also driven a Zamboni at the Target Center, captained a tour boat in Voyageurs National Park, and clearly has a thing for big machines.
