Epic day trip from Bangkok. Met up with Tom a local guide out in Ratchaburi. He showed me his local reservoir that was alive with ravenous jungle perch. Hampala hunt in packs, corralling schools of baitfish to the surface in open water and hunting the weed line where they smash tiny shrimps and minnows on the surface. This footage doesn’t do it justice, in this part of the world jungle perch are a premier game fish and offer one of the best opportunities for sight fishing to actively feeding fish.
