Gov. Bob Ferguson is discussing the potential tax on WA state millionaire incomes, including his criticism of the bill in its current form and the changes needed
Ferguson has expressed his support for a Millionaires' Tax if it puts a significant percentage of the revenue generated back to Washingtonians, but offered the following statement in response to the Senate's initial proposal:
“It’s a good start, but I cannot support it in this form. I have repeatedly insisted that a significant percentage of the revenue generated by the Millionaire’s Tax must go back into the pockets of Washingtonians to make life more affordable. This proposal does not come close to doing that. I look forward to making sure we change that in the coming weeks.”
