I was inside the Officer's Quarters building, where the Loners were occupying two sets of apartments, on the second floor. I went back to the roof, where I decided I would store my excess supplies and used weapons. Not exactly ideal, since it took some time to go back and forth to the roof, but at least it was in a secure location. I looked around from the rooftop and realized that the transporter anomaly, floating in the air on the side of the building, had a warning sign of the skull and bones. Across the street, I saw on the roof of a one-story building, were three bodies that were spread out like from an impact. There were no weapons around them, and it looked to me like they may be the end result, of jumping into the transporter anomaly being dropped to an instant death,
I decided to go back down to the streets, where I walked north going to the building, that was labeled as the Fire Depot. In a hallway I found a locked door, that could only be opened from the other side. I searched the rest of the building, that was mostly empty except a fire truck in the larger garage section. I went outside and found an open window, that let me in a bathroom, where I found a skeleton wearing a gas mask, sitting down with a knapsack between its legs. As I have said before, one of the most valuable things you can find, is a building with a locked door on one side and an alternate way to get in like a window. As long as you leave the door locked, no man or mutant can come inside, and you only use the window to enter or leave the room. Once you unlock that door, the room becomes compromised and is no longer a shelter from hostile forces.
I went back outside and found that I could climb on top of one of the firetrucks, to get on the roof to inspect the three bodies. They looked like both Loners and Bandits. I turned back to the south, turning off my night vision, to study the teleporter anomaly, which was a high as the fifth floor. I went around to the far side of the Officer's Quarters, and when I came out to the far side, I found myself in the middle of a firefight between Loners and Bandits. I looted the dead, went back to the roof stash and dropped off the excess supplies and weapons. From the rooftop I saw the Loners being overrun by boars, so I shot a few with my scoped rifle. By the time I got down to the streets, the boars had already been skinned. I went back inside and then we heard the sound of a pack of rats approaching, so I tossed a grenade to silence them.
At the other end of the street, we were soon attacked by Bandits again. When I went to loot them, I realized it was more convenient to use the locked room in the Fire Depot for loot, than to keep going back to the rooftop. I went back outside and I was inspecting the round brick structure next to the Fire Depot, and the Loners and I were attacked by a pack of mutant dogs. Afterwards, I busted the planks and found a tripwire to disarm and found a body and supplies just inside. Next, I went over to the City Boiler House, emptied the stash there, that I had stored excess supplies and moved them over to the Fire Depot. I returned to the Officer's Quarters building.
