This time last year, we made a video called "See you at the Big Meeting Marra", as an online tribute to the north east banding calendar's most anticipated day. It was cancelled for the first time since the 2nd World War. Little did we know that 1 year later, we would be still in the same dire situation.
Here is a little nod back to that video from last year, with a special tribute to Dennis Jordan, the bands former Secretary, who sadly passed away last year. In the video, you will hear Dennis talking so fondly about the Gala and how much it meant to him. Nothing made Dennis prouder (2nd only to his family) than marching through the streets of Trimdon with his "Band Family" on the 2nd Saturday of July every year.
Rest in peace Marra, we know you will be with us every step of every march in future Gala days.
