A graduate of NYU Film School, Bret Primack worked in documentaries before he became a music journalist. With the advent of computer assisted video, and web distribution, Bret returned to filmmaking in 2004. The Writer/Video Journalist has been at the forefront of new media since he helped create Jazz Central Station in 1995. In 1997, he was the first Jazz blogger with Bird Lives. In addition to hundreds of articles and interviews, Bret has written liner notes for McCoy Tyner, Ella Fitzgerald and many others.
