I'm back with another run, managing to shave off 4 minutes 45 seconds from my previous run. I used a new Path of Radiance file with different transfer bonuses for this one, the most significant change being that I actually transferred Sothe's stats. Other notable ones include Zihark, Kieran and Oscar getting a HP transfer, as well as Haar and Titania getting Resistance ones. Janaff also got a Strength transfer to ORKO the Warriors in Part 4-2. I changed my OBS settings so the run looks much less like a powerpoint presentation!
This run went mostly to plan, with a few noticeable hiccups. Part 4-4 is always a nightmare, and this time was no different, so it was far from optimal. The long range magic in Endgame-1 targeted Haar so he could not Parity kill Lekain without dying on Turn 2, but this ended up not being too much of a time loss. And in the final battle I was being overly cautious so as not to lose the run.
I get much more cautious and therefore slower in Endgame, Part 4 and later chapters of Part 3 compared to early Part 3 and Parts 2/1 because pretty much everything that could go wrong, however unlikely, has happened to me in my failed attempts. The entire run is filled with tiny misinputs and mistakes, so I am not an elite speedrunner, as you can probably see. This is my favourite game of all time, I've loved strategising a Hard Mode speedrun and am just happy to complete it and share it.
