Usually, we don't repot a plant in the winter. But our drooping houseplant was such a sad plant that we needed to repot with fresh soil!
Enter: Plant SOS. AKA, how to revive a drooping indoor plant that is totally flopping over and has lost the will to live.
We finally got around to repotting the long forgotten Chinese Evergreen. This smooshed, bedraggled house plant was subject to incessant neglect yet never gave up hope. Our floor plant's home was right next to the blanket basket -- and in Louie's favorite exploration corner -- so he essentially had no shot at a peaceful life...
UNTIL Ciara decided to save his soul. With a moss pole. Usually, she uses a wooden dowel rod to stake her plants to stand up straight, but she received a giant moss pole as a gift from Mossify and was excited to use it. Oddly, the moss pole worked. A little water, a little love and a little moss brought our Chinese Evergreen back from the dead.
And, the best part -- or, worst part -- is that she cut the stalk of the plant and is propagating it in water. So, now we have a whole new Chinese Evergreen in the making.
