Pestera Bolii - fascinantă călătorie între culoare și întuneric

Описание: 🔴 RO Peștera Bolii este o străpungere naturală accesibilă pe toata lungimea ei, una din puținele peșteri de acest fel din țară. (ex.Peștera Cetatea Rădesei)
Peștera este situată în partea de nord orașului Petroșani, la 6km de acesta, pe drumul ce leagă Valea Jiului de Țara Hațegului, în locul unde se întâlnesc Munții Retezatului cu cei ai Sebeșului.
Numele peșterii vine probabil de la familia Bolia care a avut înca din secolul XV-lea proprietăți de pământ și păduri în zonă.
Peștera începe acolo unde Pârâul Jupâneasa se pierde în pachetul de calcarele jurasice printr-un portal spectaculos de 20 m la baza și 10 m înalțime. Galeria principală a peșterii este în general de mari dimensiuni, pe alocuri lărgindu-se în adevarate săli spațioase. Formațiuni de scurgere apar în locurile înalte și pe tavanul galeriei. Pe o lungime de 466 m galeria coboara dor 3 m. La eșire din peștera pârâul poartă numele de Galbina.
Prin anii ´60 peștera a fost amenajată cu poduri de trecere peste pârâu dar ele au fost distruse în timp. Peștera a fost abandonată până de curând când speologii locali de la Asociația PETRO-AQUA, au trecut la reamenajare. Au fost montate podețe care ușurează parcurgerea întregului gol subteran fără pericol.
Înca din perioada interbelică în cea mai mare sală a peșterii au fost organizate concerte muzicale. Sala a fost denumită Sala de concert și dans ca urmare a acusticii deosebite de care a dat dovadă.

The cave is located in the north of Petroșani city, 6km from it, on the road that connects the Jiu Valley with the Land of Hațeg, where the Retezat Mountains meet with those of Sebeș.
The name of the cave probably comes from the Bolia family, who had owned land and forests in the area since the 15th century.
The cave begins where the Jupâneasa Stream is lost in the package of Jurassic limestone through a spectacular portal 20 m at the base and 10 m high. The main gallery of the cave is generally large, sometimes widening into truly spacious rooms. Leakage formations appear in high places and on the gallery ceiling. On a length of 466 m, the gallery descends 3 m long. At the exit of the cave, the stream is called Galbina.
During the '60s the cave was arranged with bridges over the creek but they were destroyed in time. The cave was abandoned until recently when the local speleologists from the PETRO-AQUA Association, rehabilitated it. Bridges have been installed that make it easy to cross the entire underground void without danger.
Since the interwar period in the largest room of the cave, music concerts have been organized. The hall was called the Concert and Dance Hall due to the special acoustics it showed.
