All For One attacked Class 1-A while they were immensely unprepared. They all looked to Midoriya to follow his lead, and he failed them.
Dead. They're all dead.
Children sent out to fight a war were all dead. As Midoriya basked in the nothingness, he believed he could finally rest peacefully, but instead, he woke up at the USJ over a year in the past with a newfound hatred for Shigaraki and All For One.
OR
The entirety of Class 1-A dies, but Midoriya is sent back to the start of his first year at UA and decides to make sure his present doesn't become this Class 1-A's future.
