Описание: This video is a mix, or mashup, consisting of several variations on the battle music "The Verge of Death" from the Fire Emblem series. It consists of soundtracks from the Nintendo Switch titles Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.

The song “The Verge of Death” facilitates the extreme panic found at one’s limits. Quite evident through the fast pace of the music, a frenzy overwhelms as death grows ever so close. Furthermore, the percussive instruments within the battle music imitate a heartbeat; because the drums lack a consistent rhythm, the discernable heartbeat occasionally skips a beat, plainly developing a sense of tension. However, caught in the chaos of war, nerves undoubtedly are disadvantageous, especially against the enemy commander. Death looms in mayhem, yet there is indeed a struggle as well. One does not simply give up on survival, driven by the id instead. Weapons will remain ablaze as the health of allies and opponents alike diminishes. Like moths to a flame, death seems certainly inevitable, but it can be undeniably postponed through recognition of the danger. One may seek to live on—but the enemy commander nonetheless seeks to kill. It goes without saying that the worth of war is all for naught when in the great beyond. Why allow the rampage of war to continue if one does not experience its results first-hand? Yet, one of these very outcomes of war is the loss of life. To kill, to die… To know one without the other would be maddening…
