In the Seventies one of the most beautiful motorcycles ever was born - the Ducati V-Twin. Best known examples are the Ducati 750 Sport and the 750 SS. In 1972 Paul Smart and Bruno Spaggiari won the 200 Miles of Imola on a Desmodromic 750 V-Twin Ducati which changed the factory's fate forever. Mike Hailwood won the TT on the Isle of man in 1978, a great and unexpected win, on an NCR Ducati V-Twin. So the 70s Desmo V-Twins were not only beautiful, but also fast and nearly unbeatable on the race track.
In 2007 this Legend was reborn with the Ducati Sport 1000S, the perfect reincarnation of the 70s V-Twins. Seen from the side it really looks like an old one. But the great retro look is not all. I have ridden several sports motorcycles but never had so much fun, compared to this one. The bike loves curvy roads in Italy and its acceleration is incredible. Laying down on the red tank focussed just on the ideal line of the curve makes you feel like being in heaven, adrenaline flooding all venes. I love this bike!
