The film is based on a real-life heist in 1987 where a group of conmen, posing as CBI officers, conducted fake income tax raids on prominent businessmen and politicians in India, looting black money without any violence.
The movie follows Ajay and his team, who travel across the country executing meticulously planned raids, always staying one step ahead of the law. But when a real CBI officer (played by Manoj Bajpayee) starts pursuing them, things begin to spiral into a cat-and-mouse game.
