🌿 무더위가 연일 지속되고 있는 요즘,
바구니 형태의 클래식한 라탄 가방을 주로 들고 다니고 있어요.
수납 공간이 넉넉하고 가벼운데다 라탄 재질이 시원해서 한여름과 어울립니다.

원래 라탄 가방은 등나무 줄기 껍질을 가공한 것을 엮어서 만들지만
요즘에는 원단처럼 만들기 쉽도록 가공한 특수 원단이 나와 있어요.
단점이 있다면 패브릭 만큼은 유연하지 않아서 바이어스 테이프로 감싸서 연결합니다.

라탄 원단과 캔버스 원단은 서로 잘 어울리기도 하고 10수 캔버스가 내구성도 좋기 때문에
안감으로 사용했습니다.
입구 쪽 덮개 원단과 조리개끈 모두 린넨을 써서 통일감을 주었습니다.

It's spacious, lightweight, and the rattan material keeps you cool, making it perfect for midsummer.
Rattan bags were originally made by weaving processed rattan bark, but these days, special fabrics are available that are processed to make them as easy to work with as fabric.
The downside is that rattan isn't as flexible as fabric, so it's wrapped and connected with bias tape.
Rattan and canvas fabrics go well together, and 10-count canvas is durable, so I used it for the lining.
I used linen for both the entrance flap fabric and the diaphragm straps to create a unified look.
