As a follow-on to my previous video on submarine aircraft carriers, here we look at another of the more...odd cases of seaplane usage aboard ships. In this case, the usage of destroyers to carry a single floatplane for scouting purposes.
In this, only two navies really did it. The USN and the Dutch. In both cases, in small numbers. And of arguable utility, in the end, such that the USN would remove them entirely within a year.
Still, an interesting topic to look at.
