✔What is an escalation clause?

An escalation clause is a clause in a lease or contract that guarantees a change in the agreement price once a particular factor beyond control of either party affecting the value has been determined.

✔When do you use an escalation clause?

You can use an escalation clause real estate either in your original purchase agreement or in a counter offer, whichever you prefer.

Escalation Clause Example

✔With a Limit - Buyer willing to pay "X" amount above the highest price up to a price of "X" with proof of the highest offer.

✔Without a Limit - Buyer willing to pay "X" amount above the highest price with proof of the highest offer.
