BJP MP Dr Subramanian Swamy has now jumped into the controversy surrounding Padmavati movie, alleging that the movie received funding from Dubai because Muslims wanted to show Hindu woman in a bad light. Meanwhile, CBFC chief, Prasoon Joshi has hit out at BJP member Arjun Gupta who demanded sedition charges against filmmaker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Prasoon Joshi said that it was unfortunate to see the personal point of view expressed by an advisory panel member of the CBFC against Bhansali. Prasoon added that by no means that it represent the view of CBFC as an organisation or the CBFC board.
