What happens when a powerful film scene is stripped of all its original sound and rebuilt entirely from the ground up?
In this piece, I recreated the full audio for the breakup scene from Love and Basketball. Every sound you hear was created and mixed from scratch, from dialogue and movement to ambience and emotional texture. The original score from the film was re-used and carefully realigned to fit the newly rebuilt soundscape.
This project explores how sound shapes storytelling, how silence, space, and subtle detail can completely change the way a moment feels. It’s an experiment in listening closely and rebuilding emotion through sound design.
I’m sharing this as part of documenting my creative growth through film, media, and artistic projects. Kenyail Media is a space for stories and creative work that reflect my evolving voice and style over time.
