Doing some experiments with a crystal radio I knocked up. I was going to see how well it would pull in the local AM stations but to my utter surprise and amazement, somehow I'm able to receive shortwave on this. I'm not sure how because the tuning coils and capacitor I used should only be able to tune into local AM band, but I ain't complaining. The really strange thing is that the distant foreign shortwave stations come in pretty clearly compared to the local stations witch (when I eventually succeeded in getting them on this set), they were really weak.
In this video I have the radio's output hooked up directly so you can hear it as "clearly" as I could.
