From the dawn of history, the Northeast has never stood apart from Bharat - it has always stood within it. Our rivers, prayers, legends, and sacrifices speak of an unbroken civilizational continuity, nurtured since time immemorial. Yet, time and again, certain anti-Bharat narratives have tried to sever this bond, to portray the Northeast as distant or disconnected. History tells another story.
Every such attempt has been resisted by the people, by their culture, and by patriots who fought relentlessly for the integrity of this land.
In a moment both painful and powerful, an Arunachali girl singing a devotional hymn to Lord Shiva became a voice of dignity and unity - speaking out against attacks on people from the Northeast elsewhere in the country. Her song echoed grief and strength alike, especially after the tragic loss of Anjel Chakma of Tripura.
This land has always answered hatred with courage and division with devotion.
