The number of gender change requests has more than doubled in the last five years, and ITV’s 'Transformation Street' will give exclusive access to a private London clinic which has been performing these requests for the last 10 years. The three-part documentary series, filmed over 12 months, shines a light on those who believe they were born in the wrong body, including the impact their transition has on their families. One of the cases on the show is 21-year-old Lucas, born Lauren, who has been living as a man for the last two years. Lucas, who has his breasts removed during the documentary, is supported by mum Karen who was forced to say goodbye to the daughter she gave birth to. Both mother and son join Holly and Phillip on the sofa as they prepare for the next stage of Lucas’s transformation.
