Kufa is one of the cities of Najaf province in Iraq. This city is located 170 kilometers south of Baghdad. Kufa Mosque, which was built in the 7th century AD, is one of the important buildings of this city and a place of pilgrimage for Shiites. This city was the center of the caliphate of Ali bin Abi Talib for a while, and for this reason, along with Samarra, Karbala, Kazimin and Najaf, it has a special place among Shiites.
