How I changed the final drive ratio on a Chinese GY6 150cc scooter to get a little more speed. End of video shows how I heated and shrunk the gear on to the new pinion with toaster oven. Shows the gear-set and gearbox.
NOTE: While the video states gearset was purchased from Scrappydog Scooters, it seems they are now out of business for shady business practices. This gearset was manufactured in Taiwan.
This job can be done without removing the entire engine, but you will need to remove the rear wheel to get the final drive shaft out.
