This time Argo and I are winter hiking the North Country Trail near the Niagara Escarpment. This area is just north of East Lake, south of H-40. The trip was dual purpose, the first being that we had not seen the escarpment in winter. The second purpose was to see how much snow there was prior to a group hike the following weekend. In the end, the area got another foot of snow over the next week so we ended up using snow shoes anyway!
The Niagara Escarpment is a rock formation that is responsible for the Niagara Falls. It extends far up north, all the way into Wisconsin!
