When OCD latches onto themes that feel embarrassing or “gross,” we often shut down. But avoiding the topic feeds the shame and the cycle. This week’s YouTube video speaks directly to this struggle.

Contamination OCD isn’t just about germs —

OCD can center around bodily fluids like saliva, urine, blood — and more often than people think, male reproductive fluid (not using the word in case YouTube doesn’t like that 😬). Which adds another layer of shame and silence.

Sometimes the fear comes from feeling grossed out.

Other times, it’s tied to fears of being “bad,” immoral, or spreading “disgust.”

Either way, the distress is real — and the compounding shame makes it even harder to deal with.

In this video, I talk about how OCD can twist ordinary things into sources of fear, including male bodily fluid. I explore why this happens, and how you can take steps towards crushing OCD.
