BERRY PICKING SEASON IN NEW ZEALAND /// JULIANS BERRY FARM

Описание: It's berry picking season in New Zealand and we are so excited! Summer is almost here and it's time to get outside and pick some berries. Watch our new vlog to learn more about how you can do it!

We are based in Tauranga and there are lots of berry farms around the town and in the Bay of Plenty region. One of the most famous farms is located near Whakatane and is called Julians Berry Farm and Cafe. It is a very cool place where you can pick your own berries, buy fresh products from their shop, enjoy food in their cafe, see some animals and spend time outdoors playing sports with your friends and family. Throughout the season you can pick different berries here: strawberries, ranui berries, raspberries and others.

We were interested in strawberries as we like them a lot, so we grabbed the largest container (which costs $37) and went hunting for the most delicious berries out there. It is a very fun experience, especially on a nice sunny day. You can have a short walk as well and explore other corners of the farm. Kids will be happy to see animals or spend time on the playground. Grown-ups will definitely enjoy food from a local cafe, most of it includes fresh berries. There are desserts, salads and even burgers are decorated with berries!

Before you go and do berry picking in New Zealand, make sure to check your local farms working hours. The season is quite short (basically November-December) and not all the berries are available at all times.
