These two pedals have been used by artists such as Kurt Cobain, John Frusciante, Billie Joe Armstrong, Robert Smith, and PJ Harvey, just to name a few. The Boss DS-1 and the DS2 have always been considered two "almost" identical pedals, but they actually have many differences. The DS-1 has a more classic and "open" sound, while the DS-2 is tied to the history of the '90 scene. We hope this video will help you understand some of the differences between these two fantastic pedals. In this video, we used a Fender Mustang Kurt Cobain tuned in E flat.
