From the game of 7/8/23 vs. Chicago Cubs (Yanks won, 6-3).
A little 'behind the scenes' for you. In the middle of the 7th inning, obviously the organist plays 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame'. The 40,000+ people in the stands at Yankee Stadium hear it one way; this is another, from live in Delta Suites where I actually play it.
After Paul Olden introduces the Veteran of the Game and the crowd applauds that person, and Robert Merrill's recording of 'God Bless America' plays (and that's a whole 'nother story), Olden announces me and I dive in. Then the scoreboard camera guys start panning around for the 'Bud Fan of the Game', because - naturally - someone has to sponsor 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame'.
You'd think some people sitting in Delta Suites would come over and hear this as it happens, but they almost never do. Those that do walk past to go to the can don't even bat an eyelash, as you'll see. Most in Delta don't know it's even happening there, or care.
So it's just me and the trash carts. And that's just fine...
