The planet of love and beauty, Venus, starts the month in the flirty, loquacious and often scattered sign of Gemini. This is one of the most social placements for Venus in a light and airy way, so you may be less inclined to have a heavy, deep conversation with one person at a party because you’d rather flit about the room, exchanging banter with a number of people. Then after the 19th, Venus moves into the nostalgic sign Cancer, where you may be connecting more with family and inviting friends over for barbecue. Venus in Cancer likes relating to their strong emotional base of operations so you may be less inclined to meet new peeps and more satisfied with ringing up old friends.

Around the 28th, you may launch a bold project that puts you in the spotlight because the New Moon will be in 5 degrees Leo. Ceres - the money asteroid - so you may use your resources lavishly to get it off the ground. This is a positive lunation because Jupiter will be beginning to station retrograde as it trines the luminaries. The Sun is strong in it’s home sign of Leo, and Jupiter is in the sign of the sun’s exaltation, Aries, as well. This is an excellent time to promote yourself, or something your believe in. The Delta Aquarids Meteor Shower will be opposing this New Moon, and meteors tend to bring us news. In the sign of Aquarius, this news may be coming from a friend, or some other social network in your life that may play a part in this new cycle of activities.

One of the luckiest planets in the sky, Jupiter, goes retrograde on the 29th. He’s kind of like the happy, fat Santa Claus of the zodiac who travels around and spreads opportunities and blessings. Wherever we have have Jupiter we can feel positive in that area of our life, and may find some expansion and growth. Even Benefic planets can have their challenging sides, but Jupiter is so lucky that even it’s retrograde cycles aren’t that bad if we are being attentitive. The lower manifestation of expansion is excess, waste, overdoing things and being way too big for your britches. When Jupiter moves backwards we should all be cautious of not becoming too arrogant, especially where you have Aries in your chart.
